Update: Meet the Teachers day/ Report card day

Dear Parents

           Meet the Teachers day/ Report card day-update fresh from the parent’s mouth. I have been told by several parents that report card day is on this Friday 4^th of July – Independence day , a day when parents can get an “independent assessment of their child”. 

 This will become vital for Standard 1 to 3 in light of  PBS –Pentaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah . Year 1 tahu, year 2 , tahu dan faham, year 3 tahu , faham boleh buat.

I have not received a formal notice but I believe it may be done by selective invitation on a as required  basis depending on the form teacher.

If there is no formal notice, I suggest you ask your form teacher to clarify

Dear Parents

         

I received a number of queries asking when  LH will hold  “meet the teachers day”/”report card day” now that 6 months have gone.

This issued was discussed in April but the reaction from the staff was in the previous years, parents did not show during the designated times and very few bothered to show up at all. Instead of having a special day , parents can meet the teachers at all times .

My personal experience is having a “meet the teachers /report card” day annually is an excellent opportunity for parents to meet all class teachers as well as  fellow parents to interact and check your children progress  . If parents were given decent notices in advance , I am sure they will attend judging by the responses from the recent sports day and fun run events especially if it was held during a Saturday.

I am still hopeful that LH will hold a “meet the teachers /report card “ day may be under a different heading but the intention is to encouraged parents to meet the teachers . My optimism arises from the fact that parents were invited (albeit subtly ) for the 2014 Sports day . This may happen faster than you can imagine.

The status of this blog

Dear Parents

This blog was set up a year ago to facilitate parents' communication and later turned into an unofficial blog for the 2013 PIBG. The 2014 PIBG committee feels that the blog is no longer necessary as the school has set up an official website. I therefore removed the association of this blog to the Lick Hung PIBG but will still maintain it as a private blog.

RM100 政府特别助学金 Bantuan Persekolahan Murid RM100

A message from the assembly this morning: parents can come tomorrow and only allowed to enter at 10.30 am to collect the Bantuan Persekolahan Murid RM100. Parents who cannot come tomorrow can come to school after CNY to collect. Tomorrow, parents or guardian (Uncle, Aunt, Grandparents) can come. After CNY, only parents. Any further questions can email directly to HM.

2013 年小六检定考试成绩 UPSR Result 2013

今天是2013 年小六检定考试成绩放榜的一天。

首先家协要恭喜力行华小获得全雪州华小最佳成绩的学校。

感谢所有6年级的科目老师，这一年来尽心尽力地，把我们的孩子教好。除了衷心的感激，学生漂亮的成绩是送给老师最好的礼物。

也感激所有曾经教过这一届6年级考生的老师们，谢谢你们替他们打好基础，让他们在检定考试中信心满满。

也不忘恭喜所有的UPSR考生。如果说考试是你们的战场，那么你们全都是胜利的小战士。为什么说你们都胜利了呢？因为你们勇敢地踏入考场，镇定地把老师所教的法宝都使出来，没有人怯场，没有人半途而废。所以你们胜利了。考获好成绩其实是回馈给老师及父母的最好礼物。如果你们觉得成绩没有达到自己的目标，别气馁，最重要是记得你们踏入考场的勇气，尽力应考的精神，把胜利小战士的精神带到中学去！

也要感谢父母的配合。正如陈瑞发校长致词时所说的，学校是一边的手掌，而家长就是另一个手掌。大家互相配合，就能拍出响亮的掌声。谢谢你们，谢谢校长。

Latest Information and Notice

1 。一年级新生学前班

今年十二月为期一个星期的2014年一年级新生学前班被取消，因为之前的反应不是很好（只有50%参与）。校方将在今年停办，然后会在明年再重新检讨这项活动的可行性。

2。五年级十一月/十二月假期补习

今年为五年级学生准备明年UPSR的假期补习班被取消。根据校方的解释，老师们出国旅行。

3。UPSR成绩

UPSR成绩将在星期四，14th November,2013 公布。到时将会举行一个六年级生集会，以公布成绩及颁奖给考到七个A和六个A的学生。

4.每年度颁奖典礼

每年度颁奖给考试第一，第二及第三名的学生的颁奖典礼，将在星期五，15th November,2013 早上八点假本校礼堂举行。欢迎得奖者的父母出席观礼。

5.RELA服务

之前提议以维持放学的交通秩序与安全的RELA服务暂时延缓实行，因为家协的财务状况还不明朗，但校长有信心家协将来会有那笔款项。

6.向MPSJ申请在学校进口处的马路上重画“黄格子”及设立“道路减速路障
”，此议程正在进行中。

7.厕所冲水系统

提升厕所冲水系统以解决没水冲厕所的问题，由于提呈的系统不被通过，校方提议我们再找过其他的系统或方案。

We would like to inform the parents of the following updates and developments.

1. Standard One orientation 

The annual one-week orientation in December for next year's 2014 Standard One intake has been cancelled this year due to the lukewarm response ( only about 50% of students) from the Standard One students. The school management will re-assess the situation after taking a break this year.

2. Standard Five November/December tuition during the year-end school holidays

The annual Standard Five year-end tuition during the school holidays to prepare for UPSR will be cancelled this year. According to the school management, the teachers will be going overseas for holidays.

3. UPSR results are expected to be announced on Thursday, 14th November, 2013. A assembly meant for Standard Six students will be held to announce the results and an award ceremony will be held to reward those who have scored 7As and 6As.

4. The annual prize-giving ceremony for first, second and third position in class will be given out on 15th November, 2013 (Friday) at 8.00am at the school hall. Parents of children who are obtaining prizes are invited to attend.

5. RELA services to control traffic during school dismissal time has been put on hold temporarily due to the uncertainty of the financial ability of PIBG although the headmaster is confident that PIBG will have the funds.

6. Application to MPSJ to redraw the "yellow box" and to put in "speed bumps" at the school's entrance is in the progress.

7. Upgrade of toilet flushing system to solve the "no-water-to-flush problem"

The system proposed is not approved and we need to find and propose other option/system.

课外活动 和六年级补习班

2。Hari Raya 假期  : 六年级在第二个星期有补习。
