Why in the survey form there is no option "不需要,Tidak perlu" for Std 4 - Std 6 tuition ?

Is the tuition class going to be compulsory again after the survey ? As it's not mentioned in the survey form.

For Std 4-6, tuition is strongly recommended, however if there are extenuating circumstances or reasons, parents are to write to the headmaster for exemption. If parents have other strong opinions about the matter, please add additional comments and we will compile them.

It is not appropreate to compile parents and student information by this blog or BY the PIBG2013,if you need contact data, you can always ask from school cause we parents have furnished the school. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS IF THIS PERSONAL INFORMATION FALL INTO SERIOUS CRIME GROUP,PIBG AJK ARE NOT PERMANENT, ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO RESPONSIBLE FOR IT IF ANY THING HAPPEN TO OUR CHILDREN.

Dear Grace,Thank you for your comment, you have a valid point.

PIBG is setting up an SMS communication system so parents can be reached quickly for important notification especially during emergency such as the recent Haze incident. We have close to 3000 students and manually updating the phone numbers will be a big task not to mention the errors during the process. Therefore we are organizing this registration process whereby the list of phone numbers is transferred into the SMS inbox with minimum human intervention to reduce errors.

I think you misunderstood the registration process. We do not collect parents’ contact information through this blog nor via the lhpibg2013@gmail. Rather your cell phone numbers are sent to a dedicated SMS inbox, so the contacts can be extracted to a list without too many human errors. You should have received an official form from the school on Wednesday. The instructions are detailed in the form.

The SMS project is a joint effort by PIBG and the school to provide an effective communication system, especially during emergencies. I hope you can also register your cell phone number through the system so we can send important notification to you if there is any. You do not need to register your child’s name, but we need to know the class because we will remove the contact details of parents of the standard 6 students next year—provided they have no younger kids attending the school—after the students have graduated. We want the message to only reach Lick Hung’s parents.

Thank you for your concern and I feel it is important to involve concerned parents like yourself in the school and PIBG activities. If you have other suggestions regarding parents/teachers communication, please feel free to contact me at kenchoo99@gmail.com

Note: it is ok if you choose not register your contact in this SMS notification system. You can always go to the school notice board or our blog for updates.
